When Margaret said she was going to do a ginger cake with pecans for the adults and chocolate buttons for the young ones - I assumed she was doing two separate cakes but no! Here
is her ginger cake with pecans and cream cheese frosting. The half with
the pecan decoration is for the adults and the chocolate buttons half
is for her grandchildren- all in one bake and the oven only had to go on for one cake! Genius - Deb the Bread
An enchanting engagement cake here - made by Diana. This must have been an 8 – 9 inch tin as
it took two packs of our Chocolate Fudge cake mixture. Fabulously flat
fondant that is then easy to ice names on – can we congratulate Diana on
creating such a delightful cake as well as Chloe and Ollie on their
Margaret McGechie made these fabulous Chocolate fudge cupcakes with peppermint buttercream and chocolate edible lace that she made on her lace mat - so pretty!
Margaret also went on to create these pretty pink & white decorated cupcakes for a new Mum of a baby girl Anna-rose - hence the
roses. All made with our Toffee cake mix and butter cream filling with
fondant toppers. Thanks Margaret they are just beautiful but not too
beautiful to eat – I want one!!
Alison Denham made a great cake with our ginger mix and it is studded with crystalised ginger pieces - "Wright" nice is that Alison!
Jackie Heaton wowed us on the Alan Titchmarsh show earlier on in the month and again when she shared these pretty flower pot cakes with a chocolate outer and a Madeira middle - mmmm - thanks!
Jackie also made this amazing array of cupcakes for a dear lady's 90th.
Jackie also went on to create this super chocolate fudge & banana heart - knockout !
How about these cute cupcakes from our customer, Harriet’s Cakes in Leigh, Lancs and their lovely message that follows! “Dear Wrights, Thank you so much

Mel King and her daughter made this delightful
Banoffee Cake for Mr. King’s birthday – someone is in for a “Wright”
treat! Mashed banana was added to the Toffee cake mix and it is dressed
with extra banana and a superb syrup toffee topping! Toffeerific .........
Thanks so much to Sue Sadler for sharing the
beautiful cake she made at the weekend. Sue used Wright’s Chocolate
Fudge cake mix for the top tier and our Toffee mix for bottom tier. I
am particularly interested in this as we are still in wedding
cake season and Sue has sensibly used the Chocolate Fudge for the top.
Fans of this particular mix will know it has as soft, fudgy texture and
as a result of it being a less sturdy cake, if used as a bottom tier it
could collapse unless you use a great many rods to hold it. Madeira or
Toffee perform wonderfully as a solid base tier for wedding,
celebration or birthday cakes. Thanks again Sue!
Li Bower created these raspberry and white chocolate chip Bundt
cakes, made with our Madeira using dark chocolate and hint of
coconut grated on top. Thanks so much Li, I love every ingredient used
and they look divine!
Yes we all love the mixes even your busy administrators here at the mill can find time to create some "Wright" good bakes with them. Claire who many of you know who use the
Freephone here made an array of cupcakes to share with us
all on her birthday a few weeks ago – chocolate with Nutella, coffee, lemon curd and fruits of the
forest - fab and yes - the missing cupcake has already been eaten by me!
