NASSAR HUSSAIN VISITS WRIGHT'S FLOUR MILLS
07 September 2001
Nassar Hussain England and Essex Batsman spent the day at Wright's Flour Mills - Ponders End's oldest company.
Wright's warehouse, built on the historic North London site replaces the old one that dated back to 1650! The site is ideal for the East Anglian wheat markets, close to the docks and near to Wright's customers.
The carousel, automated packing and palletising equipment was commissioned in July 2000. This was built by Swiss milling engineers, Buhler and placed in purpose built housing of the new warehouse itself.
The warehouse was officially opened on 2nd November 2001 by England Cricketer, Nassar Hussain and was acclaimed as the most sophisticated packing and storage unit in Europe at its time.
The advanced equipment enables high speed packing and quick turnaround of Wright's products.
