Information for our
The Royal Wedding
29 April 2011
Oh wasn’t The Royal Wedding weekend a wonderful affair? We are sure it gave us all a “Wright” boost here in the UK and the rest of the world. The weather held up giving us all the opportunity to break the bunting (and the bun tins) out and hold a street party with plenty of al fresco celebrations going on.
So many of you made cakes from Wright’s cake mixes and many of you like our member, Edith Tanner wowed us with your pictures too. Red, white and blue iced cakes with Union Jack flags look great, taste good, cost little and are great for sharing. But for the real icing on the cake was the wave of edible regal decoration available, ahead of the big day. It certainly was fun for all the family – although Nan probably had an attack of the ‘waterworks’ – the children got messy with icing cupcakes and even “blue tongue” from eating them!
